I applied and was chosen to light a beacon at this historic event to mark 1600 years since the Romans left Britain.
It began at dusk at Segedunum Roman Fort at Wallsend in North Tyneside and the Line of Light made its way along the 84 miles of wall to Carlisle, lit at 250m intervals by 1000 illuminators.
